Judge Lucia Bates: The Teen Youth Summit
"Mentoring our youth and serving my community are two things that I am the most passionate
about. There is a dire need for both boys and girls to be educated in life skills and important
social issues that affect their lives and are vital to their well-being. The Teen Youth Summit
gives us a unique opportunity to make that possible. We aim to educate approximately 400
attendees on a variety of issues relevant to 7th to 12th grade students, in a 15- 20-minute workshop
format. There will be eleven different workshops for students to choose from."
